🔄 From SEO Agency to Domain Company
Kalin started SEO twelve years earlier, building traffic websites. He got one to 15,000 uniques a day, but updates made things harder and he got penalties. 🔄
His team gradually moved into finding real expired domains for PBNs and other link building, and turned from an SEO company into a domain company of about 50 people. Their list is mostly country domains, which he says are still undervalued compared to .com. 🌍
📊 How to Read DA, TF, CF and DR
Moz DA is the most stable metric: 50 is good for sure, but mediocre domains can still reach 25–30. 📊
Majestic: lots of referring domains and CF but very low TF usually means spam. But good domains can have low TF, so judge TF only together with CF and referring domains. 🔍
Ahrefs DR scores the whole domain, so a site with a few media links can have low DR and still be good, while a web design studio with footer links can hit DR 30–40 without being special. Look at the links and context. For more on links, read Dixon Jones of Majestic. 🔗
🎯 When Niche Matters
Niche is important, especially if you’ll use the domain as a money site. For a PBN, it matters much less. 🎯

↪️ Smart 301 Redirects
Most people have adapted to Google’s changes and now redirect smartly, not straight to the home page. ↪️
Options include publishing relevant content first, redirecting to an HTML sitemap, a press release, or a neutral page to pass juice indirectly. The stronger your site, the better it reacts. Redirecting to a brand-new domain risks little; the danger zone is a middling site. It’s all about testing. 🧪
🏠 Why PBNs Are an Asset
Kalin calls PBNs the best SEO strategy economically: a one-time investment in the domain and content, then cheap renewals, with links giving ongoing value to several money sites. You can even sell links. 🏠
Precautions: use PBNs as part of a mix with other techniques. Outside the US, you can still get away with more. Unlike guest posts, you fully control PBN links and can remove them.
