Around 40 videos deleted. Two YouTube strikes. Every channel demonetized at once, and almost 90% of his income gone overnight. 💀

⚠️ How YouTube Strikes Hit Satish Kushwaha
Satish’s content is mostly about making money online, sharing legit methods with proof. Then YouTube’s systems, which he suspects are AI-driven, started treating legit money content the same as scams and quick-rich schemes. He got caught in the sweep. 😔
Around 40 videos were deleted, the ones that drove most of his income through ads and affiliate links. Almost 90% of his income dropped at once: “If I was earning ₹100 today, the next day it came down to ₹10.” 📉
His channel also got two strikes. A third would delete the channel, and he explained that once YouTube deletes your channel, you can’t come back, even with a new email or IP, as soon as it detects it’s the same person. ⛔
He waited for the 90-day strike period to expire. But about 10 days in, the channel was demonetized for “harmful and dangerous” content. He reached out to YouTube support and people who manage big creators. Nothing worked. 📧
🔗 The AdSense Mistake That Hit All Five Channels
The bigger shock: it wasn’t just one channel. Satish runs five channels, and all of them lost monetization. 😱
The reason was that he had linked every channel to one AdSense account. He used different emails, but once YouTube connects that the same person is behind them, it can hit everything at once.
My advice to anyone watching: don’t keep all your channels on one AdSense account.
Satish Kushwaha
The timeline: it happened in October. After the three-month strike period ended, he reapplied, and monetization came back about a month later, in February. 🗓️
🏥 The Health Scare He Thought Was Stress
February was his wedding, so he couldn’t make videos. Then in March, he lost about 12 kg. He assumed it was the stress of losing his income. 😟
A checkup showed something else: an infection, with vitamin D and other levels very low. He’s still on medication and only restarted work in April. That’s why he was missing for six to seven months, and his income went almost to zero in between. 💊
His lesson for people in the make-money-online and affiliate space: focus heavily on your health. Even eating mostly home food, things can go wrong. ❤️
🧺 Why “Multiple Income Sources” Didn’t Save Him
Satish always told his audience to build multiple income sources. His were affiliate, brand deals, AdSense and his own products. But they all came from YouTube. When YouTube broke, brand deals and sales stopped too, because he couldn’t post. 🧱
He’d even built multiple channels as a hedge, and they were hit together. He had already shut down his blogs the previous year, when repeated Google updates made writers and hosting costs hard to recover. ✂️
Keep one thing in one industry, then build an income source in a different industry.
Satish Kushwaha
I told him my own story: 80-90% of our income came from SEO, and Google’s updates hit our sites hard, so we moved into paid ads. Kripesh Adwani went through something similar; read how he lost his SEO empire and rebuilt it with AI. 🔄
🤖 AI Content Niches Satish Is Exploring
So far, Satish used AI for research and guest prep. Now he’s building AI-made content, but he warns that mass-produced, auto-posted, low-human-effort videos get demonetized, even if they’re monetized at first. Add variety and real value. 🎨
Niches he mentioned that are working right now:
- 🧒 Kids content, but not the same ABCD video with the same title every time
- 🕉️ Mantras and devotional music, like new versions of the Hanuman Chalisa, whose lyrics he says are in the public domain. People play them for an hour on TV and don’t switch
- 🏋️ Workout motivation music with hip-hop beats
- 🚗 Long-drive music without lyrics
His warning: invest in paid tool subscriptions, because that’s how you get the licence to upload. Otherwise you’ll face copyright problems. 💳
On Shorts, his view is that they only pay well if you can tag products or reach a US audience. Otherwise, use Shorts to gain subscribers and push your long-form videos. Reposting celebrity speeches is unreliable and can be flagged as low-value; turning topics into news-style commentary works better. 🤝 Two Partnerships That Broke
Satish has been making videos since class 9 or 10, on a cousin’s phone. Years later, he and a cousin grew a fitness channel from zero to 2 million followers in two to three years, with deals from big health and supplement brands. 💪
Then outsiders convinced his cousin that Satish was getting ahead alone. The cousin changed the password and phone number, and the channel died. Between brothers, nobody had documented anything. 💔
Last year he acquired an automobile channel with a partner, investing money while staying off camera so something could run on a system. It started monetizing and getting brand deals, but that partnership also broke, despite proper documentation, because thoughts and responsibilities didn’t match. 🚗
What does work: his team of four, cousins he’s played with since childhood. He calls himself bad at team building and prefers to stay involved in every step, analysing posting times and edits daily. 🔍
🎟️ Why Paid Events Paid Off
Satish’s biggest tip if you have some money: go to paid, private events and learn from experts, not just free ones. 🎟️
He said he spent around ₹20-25 lakh on events in the US last year, and earned at least ₹1 crore in profit from what came out of them. 💰
Meeting people who had already made it gave him confidence he didn’t have in college. The best advice he ever received: when you meet someone ahead of you, respect them, drop your ego and learn. They know something you don’t. 🙏
That fits with what I’ve seen. As I told Satish, I was a stammerer when I started doing interviews, and meeting people at events changed my life. You can read my own rags-to-riches story. 🎙️
🙏 Fear, Friends and the ₹100 Crore Target
😨 The fear of things going wrong
Satish had health insurance, a term plan, savings, stocks, land and a house, and still everything came to a halt over health. That left him afraid to take any step. He was doing right by everyone and things still went wrong. 😰
What ended it was surrender: accepting that whatever happens is God’s will and he won’t interfere. “Now I’m in surrender mode, so I’m chill.” 😌
During the downfall, he stopped meeting friends altogether. Late nights out wasted time, and he felt many were connecting for their own benefit. He meets people for their positive energy and humility, not for tricks or money. 🤝
💰 Best year and FIRE number
- 📈 Best year: 2023 (starting late 2022), at $80-90K a month, about 90% profit, all organic
- 🎯 FIRE math: ₹1 crore a year passive × 25 = ₹25 crore. But his target is ₹100 crore, for the sense of achievement
- 🚙 Biggest expense: cars (he drives a Defender) and a trip or two a year
- ⏳ Biggest regret: procrastinating on ideas, then watching someone else execute them
- ❤️ One person he’d bring back: his mother
His life philosophy: work hard today and enjoy today too, because life has no guarantees. Sometimes, he says, you need a reset and a reality check. 🌅
🧠 Satish on AI and Jobs
Satish doesn’t think AI will eat jobs. Like computers in banks, every big innovation creates more work than it removes. Social media created influencers; AI will open hundreds of new doors. 🚪
He thinks AI should be taught in school like Hindi, English and maths. Examples from his own work:
- 📊 YouTube’s dashboard AI now summarises why a video performed, plus CTR and what viewers liked
- ✂️ His team uses Castmagic and Wizard.ai to pull short clips automatically
- 📝 Captions used to cost ₹3,000-4,000 per video and a day or two; now it’s one click, in any language
- 🌐 YouTube’s auto-dubbing removes another separate cost
His advice to students: if you’re spending ₹20 lakh on an MBA, also learn AI and automation. That skill is what companies look at now. For another view, see how Kulwant Nagi rebuilt his life with AI. 🤖
