📱 Mindvalley’s Shift From Marketing to Product

Right now, marketing does “all the heavy lifting” at Mindvalley: sales pages, ads and campaigns. The goal for 2024 is to move from marketing to product. 🔄

They’re building “one of the most powerful personal development apps” anyone has seen, a product so innovative and disruptive that people can’t stop talking about it. 📲

She also talked about Mindvalley’s big event in Dubai: three stages, top speakers, daytime learning and workshops, evening events, and lots of networking. It’s an immersive experience about breaking through boundaries and “upleveling to be a better human.” 🌟

🎯 Crazy Goals as Motivation

Marisha is intrinsically motivated by big goals. A few years ago, the biggest online summit she could find had 70,000 attendees, so she told her team: we have to get 200,000. 📈

Same with her career: “I want to be CMO. How do I be CMO?” Then she got obsessive about it, and that’s how she got there. 👩‍💼

💬 Learning From Conversations

She doesn’t learn from idols. She learns from conversations with anyone. 💭

Just before our chat, someone told her he uploaded all his customer stories and testimonials to ChatGPT and asked it to write scripts using his customers’ own language. “I think that’s brilliant.” 💡

Her tip for a better world: be kind. Everyone is going through something, and “kindness is contagious.” 💛

🤖 AI Needs a Human Touch

Will AI replace humans? Humans bring creativity and analyze things differently. AI does supporting work, but it still needs a human to refine it. 🤖

She uses AI for copywriting, “but that doesn’t mean I put that copy out.” A human still refines it. ✍️

On financial mistakes, she doesn’t see any: “Everything is a learning experience.” Mindvalley has launched things to test the waters. When they didn’t work, they moved on. 🧪

⏳ This Moment Never Comes Twice

The thought that changed how she operates: “This exact moment does not come twice in life.” You can come to Affiliate World next year, but the conversations, parties and people will never be the same. Stop getting caught up in the past and future, and live in the present. 🌅

The worst advice she’s received is being told she can’t do something, whether being an F1 driver or getting a position. “If I believed what everyone told me as the truth, I would literally never be anywhere.” You decide what you want to be. 🏎️

🚀 Advice for New Entrepreneurs

“Find a mentor and just start executing.” Get comfortable with failure, because the smartest people have failed many times, and the more you fail, the more you learn. 🚀

I shared my own story: I had a stammer and was scared to talk to people. After seven or eight years of attending these events, I gained the confidence to speak on stages. My advice: take risks and find a tribe that uplifts you. 🎤
