Aabhas Vijay Rank Rover CEO Interview: SEO Journey, Link Building & Real Estate Investing

Aabhas Vijay is the CEO of Rank Rover, a digital growth platform for link building, niche edits, news placements and Reddit marketing. In this first-ever interview on Inside A Hustler’s Brain, the Aabhas Vijay Rank Rover story covers his seven-year SEO journey, why he says engagement matters more than relevance in link building, how he diversifies into real estate, gold and multiple countries, and how AI is changing semi-skilled work.

What if the SEO “secret underdog” quietly building Rank Rover told you that relevance isn’t what ranks you anymore, engagement is? That is the core idea of this episode. I sat down with Aabhas to talk about his SEO career, how he invests his earnings offline, and what he thinks about automation and jobs.

How I Brief Listeners After the Aabhas Vijay Episode

Inside A Hustler’s Brain episodes work harder when the blog post carries the operator notes that do not fit in a live conversation. Aabhas Vijay talked through SEO agency growth, late start, outreach automation, website flipping. This expansion adds how I apply those themes across BloggersIdeas, DigiExe, AffiliateBooster, and SchemaNinja without inventing quotes that were not said on air.

If you watched the episode, use this page as the checklist. If you only read, watch the full podcast for tone and stories. I keep FAQs tied to what was actually discussed.

DigiExe Takeaways I Wrote Down After Recording

Agency work punishes vague process. After conversations like the one with Aabhas Vijay, I write three lines into DigiExe notes: what to copy, what to ignore for India clients, and what to test for one sprint. Rank Rover themes around SEO agency growth, late start, outreach automation, website flipping map cleanly to that template.

Copy means a habit a freelancer can run without me. Ignore means a tactic that needs a market or budget DigiExe clients do not have. Test means a two-week experiment with a clear kill criteria. That is how podcast ideas become retainers instead of Slack nostalgia.

BloggersIdeas Editorial Angles From This Interview

Roundups and how-tos on BloggersIdeas need examples that feel lived-in. Aabhas Vijay’s lane (SEO agency growth, late start, outreach automation, website flipping) gives editors prompts for future articles: process over talent, honest timelines, and tools that survive junior staff. I do not paste the episode transcript into a listicle. I pull themes, then assign a writer to verify current product pages before publish.

Affiliate disclosures stay separate from interview praise. If a tool is mentioned on air and later in an affiliate article, the article still needs dated pricing screenshots.

AffiliateBooster and SchemaNinja Notes

AffiliateBooster campaigns care about clear offers and honest claims. Interview energy is not a claim. SchemaNinja marketing cares about clarity for developers and marketers who skim. When Aabhas Vijay hits themes around SEO agency growth, late start, outreach automation, website flipping, I ask whether any of that belongs in onboarding docs or partner emails. Usually the answer is a shorter SOP, not a new subscription.

Who Is Aabhas Vijay, the CEO of Rank Rover?

Aabhas Vijay is a 33-year-old SEO operator and the CEO of Rank Rover, a digital growth platform built for teams that want to be omnipresent across websites, Reddit, forums and video.

He calls himself a quiet operator more than a personal-brand guy. This episode was his first interview ever. Aabhas avoids social media because he feels a lot of it is fake, and he would rather add value for clients and deliver ROI.

How Did Aabhas Vijay Go From a 5-Person Startup to Rank Rover CEO?

It tells Aabhas Vijay’s career story, from a tiny startup to leading Rank Rover, along with his rule to test everything yourself.

Aabhas started about seven years ago at a tiny startup with just five people. With almost no resources, he had to be frugal and learn everything on the job, including content writing, video editing and whatever else came up.

He grew from an executive role to director, spent about a year with a hosting company (and helped scale it), then moved into freelancing as offers kept coming. From there, he says, there was no looking back.

He doesn’t come from a money background. Early on he had no savings, tested a lot of strategies, wasted his own money, and earned along the way. His core rule:

Anything that is available on the internet – if you haven’t tested it yourself, don’t believe it.

– Aabhas Vijay

What Is Aabhas Vijay’s Omnipresence Model for LLM Visibility?

It is Aabhas Vijay’s approach to being visible on three surfaces: websites, videos, and forums or social platforms. The goal is to earn mentions and rankings on all three, which raises the chance that large language models (LLMs) cite your brand.

Aabhas breaks modern visibility into three buckets: websites, videos, and forums or social. Get mentions and rankings across those surfaces, even via PDF results, Medium articles or other “parasite SEO” placements, and you raise the odds of showing up in LLMs.

Why? Because models pull training and answer data from sources like Reddit, LinkedIn, Wikipedia and YouTube. If you’re in the top 20 across multiple surfaces, you’re much more likely to get cited.

What Is LLM Visibility?

LLM visibility means how often your brand, website or content is mentioned or cited in answers from AI tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity. It is closely related to Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), which is the practice of improving your chances of being included in those AI-generated answers.

What Is Parasite SEO?

Parasite SEO is the practice of publishing content on high-authority third-party platforms, such as Medium, PDF hosting sites or forums, so that it can rank in search results faster than a new standalone website. Aabhas mentions it as one way to gain visibility across multiple surfaces.

What Does Rank Rover Offer? Link Building, Niche Edits & News Sites

Rank Rover (rankrover.io) is a digital growth platform led by CEO Aabhas Vijay. It provides link building, niche edits, news site placements and Reddit marketing tools.

Rank Rover isn’t “just a Reddit tool.” Aabhas calls it a digital growth platform. On the inventory side he shared:

  • About 64,000 websites listed on the platform
  • Close to 11,000 niche-edit websites
  • Big news sites associated with the platform for placements

You can place orders from the platform with dedicated support.

Does Engagement Matter More Than Relevance in Link Building?

It is Aabhas Vijay’s view that a link from a page that sends real clicks and traffic can help rankings more than a link that is only topically relevant.

For SaaS link building especially, Aabhas’s controversial take is that relevance isn’t what matters most. Engagement is.

He has seen clients rank ultra-competitive keywords (including casino niches) using unconventional placements when those links drive real engagement. His practical playbook:

  1. Find pages that are already ranking
  2. Get a mention and a single click path to your site
  3. Send some traffic through that link

“If you get a mention and you’re able to do it a single click and even send some traffic through that, your website will rank like crazy.”
– Aabhas Vijay

What Is SaaS Link Building?

SaaS link building is link building done for Software-as-a-Service companies, meaning businesses that sell software by subscription. It usually focuses on earning links from tech, marketing and business-related websites.

How Does Aabhas Vijay Use Reddit Marketing to Control the Narrative and Capture Leads?

Reddit marketing is the practice of promoting a brand, product or service on Reddit by joining or creating discussions in relevant communities. Because Reddit threads often rank in Google and are used as a source by AI tools, a well-placed thread can bring both traffic and brand mentions.

Rank Rover has leaned into Reddit marketing because Reddit threads now rank for so many keywords. Inside the platform you can find ranking threads, add comments, set automations to help comments gain traction, and run group tasks.

Aabhas prefers full narrative control: create your own thread, seed engagement with multiple comments, and try to rank that thread for a target keyword.

His example was a construction and roofer use case, where intent-matched threads trigger email notifications, which means real leads. Over time, he says, brand searches increase.

How Much Does Aabhas Vijay Make With SEO, and Where Does He Invest?

When I asked how much he’d made in a peak month or year, Aabhas kept it simple: revenue is “in millions” (he didn’t share a specific figure on camera). The bigger point was what he does with that money.

Online is unstable, so he recommends at least two to three offline or physical lanes that are not just more of the same digital work. He pointed to operators like Gary Wilson, who exited and moved into a UK real estate brokerage.

What Is Portfolio Diversification?

Portfolio diversification means spreading your money across different asset types, income sources or countries, so that a loss in one area does not wipe out everything. Aabhas applies it to both investments and income.

On macro protection, he’s blunt:

  • When the world economy is unstable, or war risk rises, go for gold
  • Don’t keep all your eggs in one country. Diversify across two or three countries
  • Protect your family first when the global economy keeps shifting

His own diversification mix includes gold, real estate and stocks, plus ideas like rental income and gold arbitrage.

What Is Gold Arbitrage?

Gold arbitrage is the practice of buying gold in one market or form where the price is lower and selling it where the price is higher, keeping the difference as profit. Aabhas mentions it as one idea within his diversification mix.

If he could spend a day with Buffett, Gates or Musk, he’d pick Bill Gates, because Gates owns so much agricultural land in the US, and Aabhas cares about physical assets.

What Is Aabhas Vijay’s Biggest Regret? MBA, Government Exams & a Late Start in SEO

Aabhas’s biggest career regret is not entering SEO sooner. He spent two to three years on an MBA in marketing and preparing for government exams. He believes starting three or four years earlier would have put him much further ahead.

On India’s education system, he’s skeptical. He scored about 27% in 11th standard and says grades don’t define the life you can build. His fear isn’t failure at work; it’s dying alone. He’s a people person who still hangs out with school friends every Saturday and wants a big house filled with family, close friends and dogs when he’s older.

How Did Aabhas Vijay Make His First Dollar Online?

His first online money came from SEO. He ranked a site for “Mailchimp alternative” in the email-marketing space, then sold that website. The income was in the two-figures monthly range. Small, but it proved the model.

What Is a “Mailchimp Alternative” Keyword?

A “Mailchimp alternative” keyword is a search term used by people looking for email marketing tools other than Mailchimp. Ranking for it means your site appears when those buyers compare options, which makes it a high-intent keyword.

What Is Website Flipping?

Website flipping means building or ranking a website and then selling it to a buyer, usually based on its traffic and earnings. Aabhas did this with the site he ranked for “Mailchimp alternative.”

His most expensive recent purchase? His house (he declined to share the price). Best investment so far: an unnamed accounts farm company that owns accounts across different platforms. He wouldn’t share more details on air.

Will AI Take Jobs? Aabhas Vijay on Semi-Skilled Work & Outreach Automation

Does Aabhas think AI will take jobs? Yes, especially semi-skilled roles. If you’re truly excellent at what you do, he thinks you may still have roughly 10 to 15 years, but automation is already changing hiring.

What Are Semi-Skilled Jobs?

Semi-skilled jobs are roles that need some training or experience but follow repeatable steps, such as routine data work, basic outreach or standard support tasks. These are the roles Aabhas believes are most exposed to AI and automation.

What Is Outreach Automation?

Outreach automation means using software or AI to handle repetitive outreach tasks, such as finding contacts, sending emails and following up, with little manual work. In his own field, Aabhas says they’ve fully automated the outreach process.

The harder problem, he says, isn’t automation itself. It’s finding people in India who are consistently professional and hit KPIs. If someone delivers, he’s happy to work with them.

FAQs About Aabhas Vijay and Rank Rover

Aabhas Vijay is a 33-year-old SEO professional and the CEO of Rank Rover, a digital growth platform for link building, niche edits, news placements and Reddit marketing. He started in SEO about seven years ago at a five-person startup. This Inside A Hustler’s Brain episode was his first-ever interview.

Rank Rover (rankrover.io) is Aabhas Vijay’s digital growth platform. He said it lists about 64,000 websites and close to 11,000 niche-edit sites, plus news placements. It also offers Reddit marketing, automations and a 15-minute discovery call option.

He argues engagement matters more than traditional relevance. He has seen competitive niches rank when links drive clicks and traffic from pages that already perform. His tip: get a mention with a single click path to your site and send some traffic through it.

It means building visibility across websites, videos and forums or social platforms. Aabhas says LLMs draw from sources like Reddit, LinkedIn, Wikipedia and YouTube. Ranking in the top 20 across several surfaces raises your chances of being cited by AI answers.

Rank Rover lets users find ranking Reddit threads, add comments, set automations and run group tasks. Aabhas prefers creating your own thread, seeding it with comments and ranking it for a target keyword. He says this brings leads and, over time, more brand searches.

Through SEO. He ranked a site for “Mailchimp alternative,” then sold it. That early project brought income in the two-figures monthly range, small but enough to prove the model.

Diversify across gold, real estate, stocks and more than one country. When the global economy is unstable, he favors gold and physical assets alongside online income. He also suggests two to three offline income lanes.

Yes, especially semi-skilled roles. He says truly excellent professionals may still have around 10 to 15 years, and his team has already fully automated outreach. The harder challenge, he says, is finding consistently professional people who hit KPIs.
