🏢 Hostinger’s Story and Aditya’s Role
Hostinger started about a decade earlier as a garage project with the goal of getting everyone online for free. Its free hosting product, 000webhost, still exists, and many users test there before moving to Hostinger. 🏠
The company is based in Lithuania. Aditya covers Asia Pacific, mainly India, Southeast Asia, a little Japan, and Europe. He worked from India for a while before moving to Lithuania. 🌍
🎯 Who Hostinger Serves
Aditya splits hosting customers into people trying out a first website, SMBs and agencies, and big companies that host everything themselves. 🎯
Hostinger has some cloud and VPS clients, but its defined niche is shared hosting, the first step for many people. He calls it “premium but affordable.” 💡
🤝 How to Join the Hostinger Affiliate Program
- 📝 Search for the Hostinger affiliate program and sign up on its page (there’s also a program on Impact)
- 🔍 Applications are reviewed. Hostinger rejects quite a few, often new affiliates unsure of their niche
- ✅ Once approved, you get an account manager and a contact email
- 💰 Commission starts at a minimum 60% revenue share, across all web hosting plans, including cloud, VPS and Minecraft hosting for gaming
Hostinger had 43,000+ active affiliates. Aditya also likes that affiliates can promote multiple brands and compare them. For a hosting comparison angle, read Daren Low of Bitcatcha. 🔗
🚫 Brand Bidding and Coupon Rules
No brand bidding. In SEO, you can target generic terms like “affordable web hosting coupon,” but using “Hostinger” or Hostinger-related terms isn’t allowed. 🚫
New affiliates get a warning first as a one-off. Hostinger’s channel team checks daily and weekly, then warns and blocks repeat offenders, though cloned coupon pages make it hard to control. 🛡️
I asked about special rules for some affiliates. Aditya said Hostinger has done branded deals in the past, but only with very limited, selected partners after checking feasibility and credibility, because it wants long-term relationships. 🤝
📣 Hostinger’s Content Strategy
Hostinger runs affiliate marketing, brand marketing, backlinks, SEO reporting and YouTube, including Hostinger Tutorials and local versions like Hostinger India (Hindi) and Hostinger Brazil (Portuguese). 📣
For long-term partners, it also suggests or helps with backlinks. Its principle: help everyone give 100% to get online, and either succeed or learn what not to do. 🌐

🦠 COVID, AI and WordPress
COVID brought a big jump in people wanting to get online, along with traffic and sales. As he put it, mixed emotions: bad for humanity, interesting for online businesses. 🦠
On AI: “You need to learn how to use AI if you don’t want AI to take over you.” Just as people once feared computers, we’ll learn to control AI. 🤖
He praised WordPress’s Five for the Future initiative. Hostinger contributes 5% of its time to improving WordPress. For more on WordPress and AI, read AI automation hacks from WordPress.com. 🔗
