What happens when you lose your money, your business momentum and your peace of mind, all at the same time? For most people, that’s where the story ends. For Palida Jantratip, it’s where a new chapter started.
The Palida Jantratip story is one of the most honest conversations I’ve had on Inside A Hustler’s Brain. Palida (most of her friends call her Peach) is the co-founder of a fast-growing beauty and aesthetic clinic in Bangkok with three branches (Phetkasem 81, Bangna and Krungthepkreetha) and the former co-founder of IBEO (Ideal Blockchain Event Organizer), the team behind the Thailand Crypto Expo 2022 and the Tech Investment Show 2023.
We’ve known each other for years, meeting again and again at events across Thailand. Yet this was her first-ever podcast. She opened up about burnout, a phishing scam that drained her accounts, her relationships, her mother, and why she walked away from blockchain to build a clinic from zero.

Who Is Palida Jantratip, Co-Founder of a Bangkok Beauty Clinic?
Palida is a Thai entrepreneur who spent years behind the scenes of Bangkok’s tech and blockchain event scene. Through IBEO she organised big events such as the Thailand Crypto Expo 2022 and the Tech Investment Show 2023, ran workshops, and even planned hackathons with schools.
Today she is fully focused on one business: her beauty and wellness clinic. Her partner, who has around 10 years of clinic experience working with doctors, runs operations. Palida brings the thing she knows best: marketing.

What Is the Palida Jantratip Story? From Crypto Expos to Startup Stages
What is IBEO?
IBEO stands for Ideal Blockchain Event Organizer. Palida Jantratip co-founded it, and the team organised the Thailand Crypto Expo 2022 and the Tech Investment Show 2023. The Tech Investment Show matched startups with mentors and investors.
I asked Peach what it felt like to stand inside the Tech Investment Show in Bangkok and watch it fill up. Her answer was about purpose, not ego. While travelling to events in many countries, she kept meeting good founders and good projects that were struggling to get funding.
So she and her team built an event to match startups with mentors and investors, for Thai founders and global ones. They covered healthcare startups, crypto, SaaS and more. Around 200 projects applied to pitch, and mentors came from abroad to support and fund them.
“This is my first time.” – Palida Jantratip, on her first-ever podcast
Success on the Outside, Exhaustion on the Inside
From the outside, 2022 and 2023 looked like a peak. From the inside, it was relentless. Palida described having a meeting every 10 minutes, managing a team of 20 to 30 people, and constantly chasing sponsors and funding for every event.
She also struggled to find the right project managers to share the load. That’s when she realised that if she kept going like this, she would always be the one pitching and chasing sponsors. So she turned herself toward a completely different industry.
If you’ve ever built something that looks great on Instagram but feels heavy in real life, you’ll relate. My chat with Kripesh Adwani about losing his SEO empire and rebuilding it covers a very similar turning point.
Why Did Palida Jantratip Pivot From Blockchain to a Beauty Clinic in Bangkok?
Wellness and clinics were always a passion for Peach, partly because of her own health and sensitive skin. When her friend and partner (10 years in the clinic business) asked if she wanted to invest in something new, she was already thinking about her exit plan from events.
The match worked because each partner covers the other’s weak spot:
- Her partner: clinic operations and working with doctors, the messy part most newcomers underestimate
- Palida: marketing, branding and growth
The result? Three branches in about one year. She was candid that both the upfront investment and the monthly operating costs are high, so this isn’t a casual side project.
How Does Palida Jantratip’s Clinic Stand Out in a “Red Ocean” Market?
What is a red-ocean market?
In Palida Jantratip’s words, it is a crowded market where competitors are everywhere. She compares Bangkok’s beauty clinics to 7-Eleven stores. Her answer is to pick one problem you deeply understand and own it.
Walk into any Bangkok mall and you’ll see ads for clinic after clinic. Peach compared the market to 7-Eleven: they’re everywhere. So how do you compete?
- Doctors first: she calls their doctors the clinic’s real equity
- A clear hero focus on acne and acne scars, inspired by her own sensitive skin
- Wellness add-ons like vitamin treatments and weight-loss programmes
- Marketing as an unfair advantage, thanks to her years in events and media
Lesson for founders: in a crowded category, pick one problem you deeply understand (for Peach, acne) and own it, instead of trying to be everything to everyone.
How Does Palida Jantratip Use AI Agents to Grow a Beauty Clinic?
What are AI agents in this story?
They are AI platforms Palida Jantratip invested in to help the clinic with SEO and with how the team talks to clients online. Her key point is that results depend on customisation and personalisation for your own business and customer segment.
This is the part marketers will love. Palida invested in AI agent platforms behind the clinic to help with SEO and with how the team talks to clients online. The key, she says, is customisation and personalisation. Many companies try AI tools, but results depend on how well you tailor them to your own business and customer segment.
AI also changed how she runs her teams. Across her companies she had around 30 staff, and she had to rethink and restructure because many people didn’t yet understand how to learn and use AI. She has also heard of friends’ tech companies running leaner for the same reason.
This lines up with what LinkedIn sales leader Siddharth Ajmera told me about AI automation and traditional jobs. The message is clear: learn the tools or get left behind.
For context, I shared that I spend five to six hours of a seven-to-eight-hour workday on AI tools, for images, thumbnails, YouTube content and more. Peach laughed and said she now gives AI a task “every five minutes” and moves on to something more important.
What Happened in the Palida Jantratip Phishing Scam That Cost 300,000 Baht?
What was the scam?
It was a fake email claiming Palida Jantratip’s clinic had violated content rules. She opened an attached PDF without checking the sender’s domain. Attackers then took over her phone and ad accounts, and she lost around 300,000 baht of her own money.
A few days before we recorded, Peach told me about the scam, and I asked her to share it so you don’t make the same mistake.
Clinics in Thailand face lots of advertising regulations. One day she got an email whose headline claimed she had violated content rules for her clinic. Already stressed about compliance, she opened it and clicked the attached PDF to see what she was being accused of, without checking the sender’s domain.
Here’s what happened next:
- The attackers got into her phone first, then into her ad accounts. She manages 20 to 30 ad accounts, including Facebook accounts for clients
- Within about four hours, clients were calling her asking what was happening
- Charges came in chunks of 5,000 to 10,000 baht every few minutes, adding up to around 1 million baht
- Her bank held the credit card charges, but she still lost around 300,000 baht of her own cash (roughly US$8,000+) that she had to pay back to clients
I told her the same kind of thing happens in India with QR-code scams and suspicious links that empty bank accounts. 🇮🇳 What did she learn? She joked that it cost her two whole months of work to recover.
Quick safety checklist for marketers and agency owners:
- Check the sender’s domain before opening any “violation” or “legal notice” email
- Never open attachments from unknown senders, especially PDFs that create urgency
- Limit how many ad accounts one personal login controls
- Turn on two-factor authentication and set spending limits on ad accounts
The Fighter Mindset: How Palida Jantratip Bounced Back
As a young woman founder, losing money isn’t only financial. It’s emotional. When I asked how she talked to herself during that period, her answer was simple: “like a fighter.”
She treats setbacks as experience, keeps focusing on the work, and avoids making big decisions immediately while emotions are high. That last point is underrated. Many founders make their worst moves in the 48 hours after a loss.

The Real Hero in the Palida Jantratip Story? Her 68-Year-Old Mother
Peach is an only child, and her mother has backed her from the very first company. At 68, her mom still does the accounting and drives every day to the clinics to check on the staff. When Peach was younger, her mother travelled everywhere with her and always understood what she was building.
Behind a lot of founders is a family member quietly holding things together. This was a beautiful reminder of that.
Burnout, an NLP Class and Three Days of Tears
Over the last three years, Peach burned out from constantly seeking sponsors and networking. Her staff kept telling her she couldn’t manage, so she signed up for what she thought was a CEO management course. It turned out to be an NLP class.
She cried through all three days. The class reflected things about herself she had never seen before, and it changed how she looks at relationships, work and money. Someone even told her she was always “on fire and fighting”.
“Life is only a journey.”– Palida Jantratip
I shared something I told her five years ago: she was doing too many things at once (blockchain, events, travel, speaking) and needed to focus on one. Today she has only one project: the clinic. I’ve lived this mistake myself. Juggling multiple projects cost me time with my family and my personal life.
Thai Culture, Pressure and Dropping the Mask
In Thai culture, women are often expected to carry things quietly. Did she feel pressure to keep smiling in public? Peach said that five years ago she would have pretended. Now she has stopped pretending.
She also spoke about her generation, the millennials (Gen Y): high expectations from family, fewer people having kids because raising even one child takes a lot of money, and life generally feeling harder than it did ten years ago.
So what does healing look like for her? Work comes first. But real healing, she says, comes from meeting new people and seeing life from a new angle.
Money vs Love, Marriage and Dating in the Age of AI
I asked the classic question: money or love? Her answer was both, in balance.
“Life without money cannot survive.” – Palida Jantratip
A few more honest takes from this part of the conversation:
- Marriage: many of her younger friends (around 22 to 25) say they don’t need to marry and prefer enjoying life. For her, marriage means respect, space and freedom
- Small over big: she prefers a small ceremony and keeping the money to build a life together. I feel the same way!
- Her 4-year goal: exit the business, live an easier life and maybe start a family
- Dating + AI: a professor friend joked that even before a date, she asks AI first. Finding good people is still hard
- Her ideal partner: emotionally understanding, has common sense, a business mindset they can share ideas with for 20 minutes a day, and a family man

Palida’s Advice for Women Entrepreneurs
When I asked for her advice to Thai women (and honestly, every founder) watching, she gave two words: life and balance.
- Work-life balance doesn’t really exist, so create quality time with yourself every day
- Watch your inner voice. If you keep telling yourself you’re not good enough or smart enough, you won’t be happy
- Love yourself first. Understand your own feelings before taking care of everyone else
- On stress: she used to shout it out. Now she chooses to keep quiet and stay focused so stress doesn’t follow her to bed

The Best Advice She Ever Received
Her best advice also stung the most. Someone told her she had been running her companies for three years and still hadn’t succeeded.
Instead of breaking her, that sentence woke up the fighter and kept her moving forward. It also reminded her to look after the “small girl” inside her who hadn’t been taken care of. Her parting message to everyone watching:
Palida Jantratip : “Life is easy if you go easy.”
